That Diary 10 Years Ago

I was scanning through my files in my drive and found two diary entries written about ten years ago. The overwhelming and maybe staggering emotions here took me by surprise. And guess what, the person I dedicated this diary to, actually read it. Now the memories are coming back reading through it all over again. And it's amazing that remembering all those times only gave me happiness and peace. I was braver and bolder. Whatever happened to me now? 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 August 3, 2012 (Friday) It’s been more than a week since he told me he has something to tell me. Honestly it bothered me. I felt excited yet at the same time confused and afraid. I let the day passed and to my surprise, he texted. Well, nothing’s new, he has this favor again. I did not mind. But I know at the back of my head I was actually waiting for him to remember what he’s suppose to. That very night, he called me up. It was a long hour of conversation again. We were just comfortable talking. I m...

Skytree: Building Trust

So, what does it feel to be at the Sorakara (highest) point? In awe. It still amazes me how advanced Japan is in terms of architecture and infrastructure. Tokyo Skytree is considered the tallest building in the country. So when on the top, it will give you a 360-degree view of the city. I could see the stretch of Sumida River, Odaiba's Ferris Wheel, Haneda Airport, Asakusa's Golden Poo and the shy Fuji-san, shy because it was cloudy at that time and it's hard to see through clearly. What a scenic view! So did I feel scared? Not at all. I mean except for that glass floor 😂 When you're up there, you would learn to trust the foundation of the building more so the builders.  Then while watching the sun set, something hit me - TRUST. If Skytree hadn't been built in Japan, I wouldn't have taken the risk and thrill of going up, honestly saying. You see, it took years and years for Japan to build this kind of reputation. ...

My Little Girl (Tim McGraw)

I was trying to control my tears as I listen to Tim McGraw's song this morning. Tsk. How beautiful the heart of a father is. Now I understand why my papa has to be so overprotective to me and to my sister. ♥ But I hope he won't sing this on my wedding day. I'll surely be in tears. ^_^ Thank you for the gift of a father Lord God. ☺ Here's the song. >_<

Strolling in Dumaguete and Siquijor

Finally! For someone as OC as me when it comes to planning, going on a trip is really a pain in the ass. That is why any interruption, especially of human, during the trip would cause me frustration. To cut it short, (hahaha) I and Mother M went on a trip in Dumaguete and Siquijor. This isn't a travel blog so I'm not gonna put in details what we did there. (hihi) I'll be showing you some photos with a short caption (I'll try) to keep you craving for more details and eventually decide to visit the places. (evilest laugh) DUMAGUETE For me it's a half city, half countryside. Everything you need is accessible. Less pollution. Friendly people. Good food. Siliman University, Rizal Boulevard, and Sans Rival are close to each other. So you can just stroll around for less than an hour. Because obligatory. Hahahaha. Oh I just love this vintage bus of Silliman parked just near the gate. To get that photo we pleaded manong guard to sneak in just for a few min...

Little Kindness: Big Smile #1

I believe kindness never goes out of style. So I wanted to post stories about the sweet acts of little kindness showed by random people I meet every day. Here's the first for this year ☺ ☺☺☺ Last Friday, I arrived at the university earlier than usual. I then looked for a nearby kainan since my tummy monsters were screaming. There wasn't any. So I decided to take a nap inside the classroom forgetting how hungry I was. Five minutes later, somebody tapped my shoulder trying to wake me up. The faces looked unfamiliar. Three college girls. They handed me a bread and a tetra packed juice. I was taken aback. hahahaha.  "Ma'am, naa pa mi extra snack from our activity. Imoha lang ni ma'am oh. Basin gigutom na kaayo ka." said one of the girls. For less than  P15 you can brighten  up someone's day ^_^ I did not know what to say. They might have overheard me asking and looking for a cafeteria. It took a minute or two for me to respond. I was real...

GGPEI First Anniversary (Team Mary)

For almost eight months now, I have worked as an online ESL teacher to Japanese. And just recently, the company I am currently connected with had its first anniversary (wohooooo!!!) It feels overwhelming to be part of this celebration. The firsts are always historical. As part of the event, the company which has more than a hundred employees decided to have this Team Dance and Halloween Costume Design Competitions. Our team, Team Mary , won 3rd place and 2nd place respectively. We are CHAMPIONS! FYI: We are the only team (out of eight teams ehems ehems) to win in both categories. Lemme repeat, WE ARE CHAMPIONS! This is my blog so I'm a little biased. What I loved about the prep and practice days was that I get to know the people I am working with deeper. And because I have all the right to be biased because I repeat, this is my blog lemme describe my team mates and what I discovered about them! hahahaha However, I can only list here those who I spent more time with. hehehe....
