Now I understand why most Japanese I know say that Cebu beaches are clean - well some aren't actually.

We went up the lighthouse which cost us 500 jpy each. |

And from the top of the lighthouse, this is the view. 😍 |
The sea breeze is still refreshing although the water is not as clear as Cebu's. 😄 I could spend the day just looking at this scenery.
After skidding our way out of the island, we stopped by Ate Toshi's house to have some dinner. 🍣🍗

With Ava, my childhood friend. We grew up in church together but I'm actually 3 years older than her. |

It's been a while since the last time I saw Ate Toshi. She has aged with grace. She's Japanese and she was a missionary in our church in Cebu for 21 years. I remember how she committed her life to serve children with special needs. She was and is selfless. Through her dedication, faith, and prayers they were able to put up an organization for these children. Blessed to meet a real-life wonder woman.
Then she started telling stories...
Then I started crying inside...
How I'd love to see myself one day resting in the love of God. Having that fulfillment of serving God in the most active years of my life. One... day, one... day.
So what was my takeaway?
Truly, our time here on earth is not for ourselves. That the world cannot fully satisfy us. That it's only God's love and grace that can make us whole. And that serving God is our lifetime mission.
And in the words of Ate Toshi, "Kon unsa ang gipabuhat sa Ginoo sa imo karon, obey lang. And the rest will follow." OBEY - this is another write-up 😉
*I guess what makes the place extra special were the people I was with.
