We've Been Callanized ^_^

From the 11th to the 15th of January, I and some teachers of Native Camp underwent a comprehensive training for Callan Method. It's a teaching method designed for students who wish to learn English in less time. This method has been used in English Language Schools in UK. It was a bit hard for us to learn this method since it's new to us. It's totally different from the traditional and conventional way of teaching. There are lots of efforts needed to rightly execute this method. As I seek for better ways of improving my teaching skills I was able to list down some noteworthy points when teaching. You are not teaching if you are not correcting. Of course, the best way for a student to learn is by knowing his mistakes and trying  not to do the same thing. Keep up with the student. It may be true that a teacher must be one chapter ahead of the student, but having known the different types of students you have it's just right to be on the same leve...

Little Kindness: Big Smile #1

I believe kindness never goes out of style. So I wanted to post stories about the sweet acts of little kindness showed by random people I meet every day. Basin gigutom na kaayo ka." said one of the girls. For less than  P15 you can brighten  up someone's day ^_^ I did not know what to say. They might have overheard me asking and looking for a cafeteria. It took a minute or two for me to respond. I was real...

Faith Goals 2016

Even before January 1st my Facebook news page has been flooded with posts about new year's resolution, goals, and expectations. That's too overwhelming. Yes. But I just wonder which of these lists would be realized even before these will be forgotten. When we set something for ourselves be it deadlines or goals, we tend to plan the whole thing and don't leave the doing to God. For this year's prayer and fasting week at church, we dare to believe  that God will meet all our faith goals because God can . But what are faith goals? Defining it simply, these are things that you desire to achieve or accomplish by and in faith. Say for example, this year you desire to own a car, study abroad, start a business, restore broken relationships, or physical healing. The list can go on and as you may have noticed these are the things that you thought are a little too selfish that you don't tell them to God. Actually God already knows what's in our hearts (Psa...
