Rain: Falls and Stops

The rain falls.

There are thunder and lightning. But which comes first?

Three o'clock and the rain hasn't stopped. The wind is fury I bet. It was telling me it's in a race. What is it running after?

Then the thundering grows louder and louder. The unlovable dog pushes herself under the hard sofa. I closed the glass window. Why fear?

The night creeps earlier. No hiding from the dark. The light is fading, isn't it?

Walking to and fro the dim and narrow living room and seeing nothing but silhouettes of decades owned horse figurines atop a furniture. Is it like the glass menagerie?

I looked outside and saw how the green plants danced for joy. Their hands extending wide to receive such little blessing. Do they drink or do they bathe?

A huge truck moves slowly, careful of the slippery road. It passed calmly I did not notice it vanished. Was it the rain that hurdles my vision of the truck?

Two school girls in one huge umbrella. Shoes stepping on the ankle high water. Heavy but little steps for the graders. When is drainage be not faulty?

The rain stops.

Filipino Stores and Restaurants in Tokyo

For somebody who craves for Filipino food and snacks from time to time, here are the stores I frequent to. I can only share a limited perspective but solely based on my experiences. Read on! Filipino Stores 1. Asia Yaosho (Kabukicho, Shinjuku)  While they mostly have Filipino products, they also sell Thai goods. I think their prices are a little lower than the other Filipino stores I've tried. However, they have limited stocks and they often run out of items that I usually need, like Bearbrand. 😁 Credits: This photo is from this website .  2.  Ameyoko Center Underground Marekt (Ueno)   This market is heaven for Southeast Asians. They have a lot of varieties, dry goods, frozen meat, and even fresh seafood. There are also two Filipino stores in the area. They sell more items than Asia Yaosho but they are a bit pricey.  Credits: Photo is from this website. The market is underground. The entrance is on the side of this building at the center of this photo.  3....

GGPEI First Anniversary (Team Mary)

For almost eight months now, I have worked as an online ESL teacher to Japanese. And just recently, the company I am currently connected with had its first anniversary (wohooooo!!!) It feels overwhelming to be part of this celebration. The firsts are always historical. As part of the event, the company which has more than a hundred employees decided to have this Team Dance and Halloween Costume Design Competitions. Our team, Team Mary , won 3rd place and 2nd place respectively. We are CHAMPIONS! FYI: We are the only team (out of eight teams ehems ehems) to win in both categories. Lemme repeat, WE ARE CHAMPIONS! This is my blog so I'm a little biased. What I loved about the prep and practice days was that I get to know the people I am working with deeper. And because I have all the right to be biased because I repeat, this is my blog lemme describe my team mates and what I discovered about them! hahahaha However, I can only list here those who I spent more time with. hehehe....

DPE at Cebu Normal University

Though I haven't gotten that energy back yet, I'm feeling gay to tell you of what I've gone through the five-month DPE studies at CNU. I am never the ideal student (hahaha) so forgive me if I can only tell you the things based on what I've experienced. So, I was enrolled in 6 subjects which is equivalent to 18 units. To graduate or I mean finish the program you need to get a total of 33 units for one school year. But I only wanted to qualify for the Licensure Exam so I only complied with the 18 education units as required by the Department of Education. My courses were Child and Adolescent Development, Educational Technology, The Teaching Profession, Assessment of Student Learning, Curriculum Development, and Principles of Teaching. These courses are actually foreign to me (hahahaha) as you know I finished Mass Communication. FAQs 1. What's the first step? Hahaha of course, go to CNU (aww) Pray bitaw. Yes, pray. Teaching is not merely a profession,...
