A mother, a wife and a librarian, Eguia is an advocate of storytelling as a way of teaching children and imparting in them lessons, especially goal setting or the need to have a target to achieve. That is why the story of Andoy in the Akong Bugsay and its Bugsay Principle so fascinated her that the book became one of her foremost materials. February this year when the University of San Carlos librarian was introduced to Akong Bugsay during its launching, where she was one of the guests. Since my sister and I have been too desperate to go on an adventure this summer, we "planned" (not really) to go South at Barili, Cebu and explore Mantayupan Falls. May 12, 2013 at past 10am we started our trip, I, my sister, and her two childhood friends. From Parkmall Mandaue, we took a taxi bound to South Bus Terminal.  It wasn't stupidity nor ignorance that made us forget that the next day is Midterm Elections and that when we reach the terminal we were so overwhelmed seeing a sea of people flocking the Terminal just to go back in their hometowns and exercise their right of suffrage. I get so curious seeing girls (rarely boys) of my age (feeling like a teener) in one corner scrolling their phone screens, then they smile a bit, they don't look around, they're focus, seems like a tag on their forehead writes "Busy, don't disturb". The time when I have learned to enjoy and embrace my individuality was also the time I met you. Tricky the time may seem but I am certain that you are the man I have been praying for. However, at this point of my life, I must admit that I don't deserve you. That is why I am forced to set my emotions aside. Or else, I would end up loving you more than I should love the Lord. I just wonder what kind of character I should be molded with that God has to twist my heart this way. Nonetheless, I am grateful that you served as God's untimely gift for me. That though, you are a gift I could not permanently have, at least you helped me unwrap the lesson I should heed and learn. Right now, I am more hopeful that it is more possible that God would grant one of my greatest desires as long as I will do his business first and foremost.
